Summary:
After last week’s cliffhanger, Kouichi & Co faced a new enemy in the form of a Government faction that opposes the idea of eroticism in order to protect the soundness of the young male population of Japan. They managed to escape the enemy forces with the help of Moriko, Sewashiko and Soriko with the Daimidalers they brought with them. Daimidalers in hand, the Beauty Salon Prince forces are able to counter-attack. Initially overwhelmed by the sheer number of the enemy’s Daimidaler knock-offs, they are able to push them back eventually. It was thanks to the arrival of Ritz. Her power was a much needed aid to the Beauty Salon Prince forces. Alas things started to go awry for the Beauty Salon Prince X Penguin Empire temporary alliance as the enemy robo started to fuse to form a giant, more maniacal version of themselves.
Behind the scenes, Moriko, Sewashiko and Soriko disables the enemy’s wireless relay. This causes the now giant enemy robo to malfunction. Beauty Salon Prince X Penguin Empire temporary alliance seemed outmatched against the now berserk robo. Without losing morale, the Beauty Salon Prince X Penguin Empire temporary alliance gather up their courage and finishes the robo with a powerful combined single, thrusting, penetrating attack.
DAIMIDALER INSERT BREAK!!!
Not surprisingly, last week’s cliffhanger resulted in the inevitable alliance between Beauty Salon Prince and the Penguin Empire. Its always fun seeing former rivals joining forces against one common enemy. Especially if said enemy is against all things good and erotic. The battles are as fun as always. That name of the last attack though, is so… That innuendo… Not like the rest of the series isn’t full of them already but it makes me think of *ahem*hymen*ahem* breaking. Its refreshing to see Kazuo settling his differences with the Penguin Emperor at the end. I expected him to be a bit more petty about it and maybe more warmongering against the penguin race? Nevertheless, it was a good resolution to the long battle between Beauty Salon Prince and the Penguin Empire.
Regarding the little sub-plot with Ritz background. I too felt a little teary-eyed when the Penguin Emperor accepted Ritz into his family. She belongs with them. Ritz and the Emperor might very well be the True Protagonist with all the feels its giving me. Perverted Kouichi is not bad but those two… Ritz and the Penguin Emperor’s relationship I feel has way more weight, more substance to them. Which I very much enjoy. Penguin Emperor so cool!
(Not gonna mention Shouma and Kiriko >_>)
Final Thoughts:
I’m a bit disheartened that Kenzen Robo Daimidaler is finally ending. It was definitely a fun ride. It may not appeal to many people but to those who enjoy a good 80’s style mecha parody and all of its glorious fanservice, its a good pick. I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed every moment of the show. Here’s to another season…
